Moisture Mitigation

A successful flooring installation requires that the ground or slab to be completely moisture free. Over time, moisture can cause serious damage requiring extensive repairs. Problems with moisture in flooring are estimated to cost in the billions each year in the United States alone. If you have a moisture problem with your concrete flooring, we can help.

All West Surface Prep is proud to offer moisture mitigation services throughout the Rocky Mountain region. We are certified installers of a variety of moisture mitigation systems. Using our systems we can either limit the amount of moisture the flooring system is exposed to, or totally stop any vapor transmission through the top of the slab.

We start be preparing the concrete surface, usually by using our top-of-the-line shot blasting equipment. Shot blasting is preferred because it removes the weak top surface of the concrete and leaves the pores open. Our crews then use industry leading mitigation materials and tools on the prepared concrete. We have epoxy and other options avaliable. For heavier jobs, we use an epoxy based system to ensure a tight seal. A proper application is crucial to optimal performance, and our crews have years of experience doing it right. All of our systems do have temperature restrictions, and most should be installed in temperatures between 70-75 degrees F. After the mitigation process has completed and cured, we can move on to any other floor repair or prep services you might need including leveling, polishing, and more.
