TERMS &COATING PRODUCTS

Concrete Sealers: solvent based sealers with 20-35 % solids at good sealers that get good penetration into concrete. Water based sealers with 20- 35 % solids are economical and tend to sit up on the surface so it gives the concrete a shiny look. See Sonneborn Cure N Seal , Miracoate HD-2

Concrete Densifiers and Hardeners: the magic of chemistry. Chemicals tighten the matrix of the concrete molecules so they are tighter, less porous, therefore harder, which results in the concrete being easier to dust and maintain. See Dayton Superior J-17, Ashford Formula

Epoxies: thin filmed coatings with 60 to 100 percent solids normally in a primer coat and one or two top coats. Epoxies will yellow in sunlight, but are durable sealers that are easy to maintain. Add quartz for color, accent, durability, and slip-resistance. See International Coatings, Dex O Tex, Benjamin Moore, Sherwin Williams, National Polymers, Florock

Urethane: these coatings are more resistant to harsh chemicals so are frequently used as top coats to epoxies. The urethanes do not yellow like epoxies so keep a fresher look to the floors. Since urethanes are normally less than 3 mils thick, they are use to apply slip-resistant aggregates for increasing the coefficient of friction. See International Coatings, Dex O Tex, Benjamin Moore, Sherwin Williams,

Micro-topping: thin cementatious coatings that are about 1/16th inch per coat that has unlimited colors, design, and textures. It has excellent adhesion characteristics to concrete. It is an excellent system for coating over concrete that has had many patches, pour-backs, or aging on it. See Dex O Tex, Miracote, Bomanite,

Trowel down coatings: thick coatings up to ½ inch thick for industrial use. Place by trowel or gage rack or cart. Generally, resin rich polymers are the base and load with special aggregates that are designed to settle at pre determined depths. Popular in the food industry and heavy traffic areas. Specialty items for freezers, coolers. See International Coatings.

Leveling Materials: Cementation based materials that hold their shape as they are place on slopes. Estimating quantities, knowing slopes, designing forms a specialty at All West Surface Prep. The way to re-configure a floor so it will drain water. We placed over a 1000 bags of material and 12 tons of aggregate in one day! No job too big for AWSP. See Degussa Emaco T430

Self-Leveling Materials: cementation based materials made to flow out level. A good pour requires a large crew, many mixers, good products, and experience.

PRICING there are too many products, options, considerations to price. See your All West Surface Prep representative for fast competitive pricing. We should be giving you pricing on options that you should be or could be considering.
