Diamond Grinding has progressed dramatically in the last few years. Diamonds are being developed to remove virtually all kinds of coatings, adhesives, and thin sets.
Now that All West Surface Prep has led the way in Colorado by attaching huge dust collectors to all its grinders and invested in many kinds of diamonds, preparing concrete is a breeze. The speed is increasing so the price is dropping relative to shot blasting.
The advantage of the grinding is that it does not leave the tracking lines of the shot blasters. So when a thin filmed coating or stain is used, the tracking is not there!
We have a PrepMaster Milling and Grinding machine that is 20hp and powered by 230 or 480 Volt 3-Phase. A powerful machine to get the touch jobs done right.
Grinding concrete is much like sanding wood floors. Take an old wood floor and sand it well and it becomes like new. Take an old dirty concrete floor and grind it well, and it becomes like new. After it is all nice and clean it is ready for a sealer to preserve its good new looks just the way a wood floor is protected.
PRICING the pricing is dependent of size of job, the unevenness of concrete, and the type of item being removed.
